mk2 films is proud to announce that A WOMAN OF PARIS by Charles Chaplin is premiering at Berlinale Classics in February 2023.

2023 marks the 100th anniversary of Charles Chaplin’s brilliant yet subtle masterpiece A Woman of Paris. Taking place in glamorous apartments and cabarets in Paris during the Roaring Twenties, this tragic love story has been considered a milestone in filmmaking, influencing directors from Ernst Lubitsch to Martin Scorsese. This new 4K restoration by L’Immagine Ritrovata, with a new soundtrack carrying a reconstruction of Chaplin’s score and hitherto unheard compositions by Chaplin, orchestrated by Timothy Brock, will enjoy its world premiere at the Berlinale.
