mk2 films to launch Xavier Legrand’s follow-up to Venice Hit ‘Custody’ at EFM

At the European Film Market, mk2 films will be launching sales on internationally acclaimed writer director Xavier Legrand’s much anticipated follow-up to the Venice Silver Lion for Best Director and 4 César award-winning CUSTODY (Best Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Editing).

THE SUCCESSOR will star Marc-André Grondin as the newly-announced artistic director of a famous Parisian fashion house. But as expectations are high, he starts experiencing chest pain. Out of the blue he is called back to Montreal to organise his estranged father’s funeral and discovers that he may have inherited much worse than his father’s weak heart.

Just like CUSTODY, Legrand’s THE SUCCESSOR is being produced by Alexandre Gavras at KG Productions together with Metafilms and Stenola Productions and will be distributed in France by Haut et Court.
