21 may 2019 New additions to mk2 films’ slate also include PETITE SOLANGE by French director Axelle Ropert.

Produced by Aurora Films with a budget of 1.5M€, PETITE SOLANGE will feature Léa Drucker and Philippe Katherine, both of whom won a César award last February for their roles in Custody and Sink or Swim respectively.

Set for delivery in 2020, the film will follow Solange, a 12-year old girl full of life, but sentimental to a fault. Caught by surprise with the dissolution of her parents’ marriage, her world starts to crack. As the shadow of divorce becomes clearer, she only wishes for one thing: that love would never stop.

For Juliette Schrameck, Managing Director of mk2 films, PETITE SOLANGE is a scintillating drama that captures the messiness of a dissolving relationship with keen insight, searing intensity, and a much needed point of view; that of a young and gentle girl caught in her parents’ tug of war, and the devastating impact of their divorce on her own search for love.”

mk2 films will handle international sales. Haut et Court has acquired rights for the French distribution.
