Her immense career embraces a vast part of contemporary cinema history. She received countless honors worldwide, among which the Best Actress award in Cannes (THE PIANO TEACHER by Michael Haneke), the Best Actress award in Venice (two times, for STORY OF WOMEN, and A JUDGEMENT IN STONE by Claude Chabrol).
