The twelve short films he made during this period highlight his remarkable growth as a filmmaker, showcasing his range as both a master of physical slapstick and a nuanced, endearing character actor. He created a series of more sophisticated and melodramatic films. The Mutual Collection stands as a testament to Chaplin’s creative genius and his lasting influence on the world of cinema.
