Billy is a mason working near Toulon. The very day he marries Nina, who he doesn’t really love, he meets Viviane, who has just been dumped by her husband: it is love at first sight and soon Billy and Viviane begin to have an affair. Then Viviane leaves for Paris, sees her husband again, trying to forget Billy. Desperate, Billy has a fall while working, seriously injuring himself. Billy gets out of the hospital limping, and goes straight back home, where Nina and their baby are waiting for him…
