In the village of Deliviran, nestled near Urfa along the Syrian border, the chief, deeply entangled in smuggling operations, falls victim to a gunshot. Hidir, initially determined to keep a distance from unlawful pursuits, finds himself unwittingly drawn into this treacherous world
as a series of fateful events conspire to push him in the opposite direction. Eventually, he reluctantly agrees to undertake a perilous journey, herding sheep across the border, marking a pivotal turning point in his life.

 

Restored in 2013 by Cineteca di Bologna/L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory, in association with The Film Foundation’s World Cinema Project, Dadaş Films, and the Turkish Ministry of Culture. Restoration funded by Doha Film Institute.
