After his father’s death, Abdelwahad, now head of his family, dreams of wealth and a break from tradition, despite his mother Hlima’s fears of him leaving. Facing obstacles and family disapproval, he is tempted by a relative’s offer to work in France, seeing it as a path to achieve his aspirations.
