After Calamity and Long Way North, multi-awarded director Rémi Chayé returns with FLEUR, a vibrant and moving animated tale of courage, music, and social awakening that reveals both the light of Paris’s grand boulevards and the rarely depicted Zone, the city’s hidden borderland in the early-20th century.
Paris, 1910, ”La Belle Epoque”. Fourteen year-old Fleur spends her days helping out in her family’s flower shop though her heart is elsewhere…in the cabarets. Tragedy strikes. Fleur and her family lose everything and are forced into the outskirts to start anew. But the irresistible Parisian cabarets beckon her and a serendipitous encounter with an idol helps Fleur discover her voice. And the power of having it heard.
