To win the competition,\u00a0the manipulative &#8220;good boss&#8221; shamelessly meddles in his employees\u2019 private lives and crosses every line imaginable, unknowingly starting an\u00a0explosive chain reaction\u00a0with wild consequences.<\/p>\n<p>THE GOOD BOSS\u00a0is the third collaboration between Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa and Javier Bardem, following\u00a0<em>Loving Pablo\u00a0<\/em>(Venice 2017 Official Selection) and\u00a0the mentioned <em>Mondays in the Sun<\/em>. This is also the fifth film of Le\u00f3n de Aranoa produced by The Mediapro Studio and the director\u2019s own company Reposado PC, whose other credits together include <em>Princesas<\/em> (6 Goya Awards including Best Actress Candela Pe\u00f1a), <em>Amador<\/em>, the documentary <em>Pol\u00edtica<\/em>, <em>Manual de Instrucciones<\/em> and <em>A Perfect Day\u00a0<\/em>(2015), starring Benicio Del Toro and Tim Robbins and which won a Goya Award to Best Screenplay.<\/p>\n<p>Bardem won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in\u00a0<em>No Country for Old Men<\/em>\u00a0by the Coen brothers. He was saluted for a string of powerful performances amongst which his role in\u00a0<em>Biutiful<\/em>\u00a0by\u00a0Alejandro\u00a0I\u00f1\u00e1rritu, or in\u00a0<em>Skyfall<\/em>, as Bond villain. He was recently seen in\u00a0<em>Everybody Knows<\/em>\u00a0by Asghar Farhadi, co-starring Penelope Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Good Boss\u00a0is an acidic comedy and a corrosive view of personal and work relationships within a family company\u00a0all tied together by Javier Bardem&#8217;s\u00a0character.&#8221;, says the director Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s especially thrilling for the three of us, Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa, Javier Bardem and Mediapro, to work together again, after <em>Mondays in the Sun<\/em> (Los lunes al sol), a film that meant a great deal to us. Now, 18 years later, our paths are crossing once again, with a project that tackles the socio-professional setting from a different perspective\u201d, says Jaume Roures, President The Mediapro Studio.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re ecstatic to be collaborating for the first time with The Mediapro Studio and Reposado P.C. and this creative team.
