On that night, Betty leaves the bar with a stranger. She ends up in a restaurant in Versailles, meeting point of all bums, as Laure says. Laure is older, and became the mistress of Mario, owner of the place. That very day, Betty’s husband and family had banished her. Laure has decided to take care of Betty, and both now live in the same hotel. Mario goes to see Betty from time to time, and all of a sudden, Betty realises that she could start all over again, and take away from Laure whatever could help her to live.
